The Glory of God
Philippians 2:5-11, Psalm 40:6-8, Luke 2:11, Galatians 1:4
Hebrews 10:5-9, Isaiah 53:3-5, 2 Corinthians 8:9

Let this mind be in you, which was in Christ Jesus,
Who became a servant of God and a man.
Left His sovereign place in glory, love's greatest story,
Announced by an angel, glad tidings to man.

Unto you is born a Savior, in the city of David,
Glory to God, His name is Christ the Lord.
He was despised and rejected, and a man of sorrows,
Acquainted with grief, but by His stripes we're healed.

He gave up His glory, He had with His Father,
He gave up His riches, that we may be His brothers,
He gave up His authority, He gave up His honor,
Came down to earth to do the will of God,
Humbled even to the death of the cross.

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire,
Then said I, lo I come.
I delight to do thy will, oh my God,
Yea thy law is within my heart.

Wherefore god has highly exalted Christ Jesus.
And given Him a name above every name,
That every knee should bow, every tongue confess,
Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God.
Jesus Christ the glory of God.
Jesus Christ the glory of God.
