This candle signifies one life,
And my how fast it goes,
And everything you say and do,
Is written on a scroll.
Up yonder by the Master,
Who created you and me,
For everything that He has made,
Was created purposely.

His Son came down from heaven,
Like this candle here you see,
He is the Light of the World,
He came to set you free.

One life He gave for you and me,
And oh how strange it seems,
That men would rather run from Him,
And dream their fancy dreams.
And spend their lifetime searching,
For that peace they never find,
In people, things and places,
Which will be a waste of time.

You'll never know that love sublime,
That peace, that joy that comes,
Until you join your life to His,
And you both become one.

One life you have dear brother,
And it means a lot to me,
Be careful how you choose to live,
Don't use it selfishly.

Oh how I wish that you could see,
The things that I see now,
He took my life and made it count,
And smoothed my worried brow.

For only God can change a life,
And warm a cold, cold heart,
And heal the hurts, the aches, the pains,
And give us a brand new start.
