Jeremiah 5
Lord I'm in a dilemma,
I don't know how to pray,
For this blessed nation,
Or for the U.S.A.
Should I pray for mercy,
Is than an option still,
Or do I pray for judgment,
Lord which one is your will?
Mercy or judgment,
Lord which one will it be,
I know that we must bear it,
Know that we must see.
Mercy or judgment,
Or are they both the same,
Are they the root of love,
Your everlasting flame.
How far have we drifted,
In the years gone by,
Wrong is right and right is wrong,
We need not question why.
Lies and deception are everywhere today,
And it seems the people,
Want it just that way.
Mercy or judgment,
Lord which one will it be,
I know that we must bear it,
Know that we must see.
Mercy and judgment,
Are measured by your hand,
For only God can truly know,
The state of any land.
