Matthew 26:36-46, Mark 14:32-42, Luke 22:39-46
Have you been to the garden?
The garden of love.
And did you see Jesus,
When He spoke to God.
Did you look at His face there?
And could you see,
All the pain and the sorrow,
He would bear for you and me.
He faced a temptation,
You and I can't understand.
For He was so holy,
The Son of God, a sinless man.
Who must drink of a cup that,
Was too evil to see,
The sins of the whole world,
Put on Him so we'd be free.
Did you watch as He wrestled?
With blood, sweat and tears,
For He was determined,
To go to Calvary.
His soul was in travail,
At what would be done,
For God the Father,
Must forsake His only Son.
And He cried, Abba Father,
Take this cup away from Me,
If Thou be willing,
Take this cup away from Me.
Oh Father not My will,
But Thy will be done,
The battle was over,
The hour was come.
