1 Peter 3:18, 2 Peter 3:9, John 3:16-18
Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans,
Alabama and Mississippi,
The worst we've ever seen.
Warnings were sounded,
The greatest storm is near,
Evacuate the city,
That many hold so dear.
The city of music can no longer sing,
It's mainly under water, lost everything.
They underestimated the force of the storm,
The people were not ready,
Although they had been warned.
Thousands fled the city,
And many lost their lives,
In search of food and safety,
Family members still alive.
And now the rescue mission,
Goes on from door to door,
Among the dead and missing,
Survivors are called forth.
God is still calling,
For sinners to come,
To repent, receive His pardon.
Through Jesus Christ His Son.
To deliver us from judgment,
From sin and certain death,
At the cross it was settled,
Jesus paid our awful debt.
Won't you come to Jesus,
Can't you hear Him cry,
Repent and be ready,
For why will you die,
He came down from heaven.
On a mission to set us free,
To deliver us forever,
From our captivity.
God is still calling,
For sinners to come,
To repent, receive His pardon.
Through Jesus Christ His Son.
To deliver us from judgment,
From sin and certain death,
At the cross it was settled,
Jesus paid our awful debt.
