Come Before Winter
2 Timothy 4:21, Romans 8:22-23, 1 John 3:2, John 14:1-3, John 16:22,
2 Corinthians 5:1-2, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Revelation 5:9

Oh my days are so trying, my nights are so long,
And my heart is so burdened, I'm seldom with song.
My eyes are so weary at seeing the wrong,
That I long to be where I belong.

Come before winter, when summer is gone.
And the bluebird has left and I can't hear his song.
And the flowers lay dead with the leaves on the ground,
As they wait for the new world to come.

Where there'll be life everlasting and pure,
Where the saints will rejoice with their Lord evermore.
And creation will no longer groan as before,
It will wake at the sound of the Lord.

And we shall all sing with a new song and voice,
For the beauty of Jesus will make us rejoice.
And we shall be like Him when we see Him that day,
And together forever we'll stay.

Come before winter, when I'll hear the sound,
Of your voice as you call me,
And I'll take your hand.
As a bride with her lover, together they stand,
As they go to that glorious land.

Where there'll be life everlasting and pure,
Where the saints will rejoice with their Lord evermore.
And creation will no longer groan as before,
It's awake at the sound of the Lord.
